Tourism Blitz reservations in Welcome Centers are available for 2017!
Showcase your organization for an entire month with our Welcome Center Tourism Blitz. Let Virginia travelers learn more about you. Customize your blitz with events, demos, displays, and promos – you can even have the Welcome Center staff offer a free sample or souvenir!
Guidelines for your Blitz:
Once your Blitz has been reserved, consider incorporating these promotional elements into your display.
| • | Extra brochures: Your brochure is front-and-center on the Welcome Center counter – make sure you have sufficient quantity at the Welcome Center to accommodate this prime placement. |
| • | Stickers for Welcome Center staff: Place your slogan, logo, or memorable phrase on a sticker that prompts conversation and interaction with travelers. |
| • | Logo items: Do you have a pin, tote bag, key ring, or similar memorabilia with your logo? You can provide those for the staff to display. |
| • | Promotional give-away/souvenir: Have a promotional product that can be easily distributed to travelers. |
| • | And More! A 2-minute Digital Spotlight, visits to the Welcome Center by your staff, artisan demonstrations, and table-top displays are also key elements of a successful Blitz. |
Terms and Conditions
Highway Information Media, LLC is not responsible for Blitz reservations that are cancelled due to VDOT or VTC programs taking precedence over P/MAP reservations. In those cases where a Blitz reservation is cancelled due to VDOT or VTC having priority access, we will offer alternative locations and/or alternative months for your Blitz.
No refunds are made on Blitz reservations if your display materials and resources are not available and set-up for the confirmed location and month. You are responsible for the set up/break down of displays. Your staff or representatives are encouraged to spend time at the Welcome Center while your Blitz is running.
We will confirm availability of the month and Welcome Center requested upon receipt of your reservation request.
NOTE: to allow a broad array of tourism partners the opportunity to host a Welcome Center Blitz, you may only reserve one Blitz for each Welcome Center prior to December. On December 1st, requests for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Blitz at the same Welcome Center may be submitted. Blitz reservations for consecutive months at a Welcome Center may not be available.
Blitz reservation requests should be made 30 days prior to your Blitz.
Individual attractions/sites and/or organizations may request to host a Blitz together. Requests for cooperative Blitz sponsorship will be reviewed when received.
